Join the 11th edition of European Arthouse Cinema Day on 22 November 2026 and become part of an international celebration bringing together nearly 660 cinemas across more than 45 countries.

Organised by the CICAE in collaboration with national arthouse cinema associations, European Arthouse Cinema Day is the first international initiative led by exhibitors to celebrate European cinema and champion the theatrical experience.

Taking part is an opportunity to showcase your cinema, demonstrate your commitment to cultural diversity and offer your audience a unique event. Special screenings, filmmaker Q&As, discussions, family screenings, retrospectives or other creative activities—every participating cinema is free to design a programme that reflects its identity and community.

By joining the initiative, you will also benefit from a series of free online workshops, an international communication campaign, promotional materials, programming resources and a network of committed cinemas united by a shared ambition: to bring the richness and diversity of European cinema to audiences everywhere.

Every cinema is free to participate in the way that best suits its audience, ambitions and resources. The only requirement is to include at least one European co-production in your programme.
