The event is organized by the CICAE and its national member associations.

WHY REGISTRATING ?

The initiative gives participating cinemas the opportunity to highlight their identity and the European dimension of their programming, as well as to set up promotional and innovative activities with the aim of increasing attendance and film circulation.

The European Art Cinema Day aims to become an essential cinematic event for audiences every fall, highlighting the importance of art house cinemas and improving visibility for the work they do to promote film diversity. This initiative promotes arthouse cinemas as places for socializing and community, highlighting their daily commitment to offering their audiences original and challenging programming.

Participating cinemas are free to take part however they wish and to create their own program, provided they include European co-productions.

PROCESS

If you have already participated, you can select first your country, then city, and finally cinema. Then, check if your information are still correct and up to date, and validate your 2026 participation. If you have participated in the past but can't find your cinema, contact claire.scordel@cicae.org

Once registered, you will receive per email the password to access the download area, where you'll be able to access all the materials for the European Arthouse Cinema Day
